Phil Hardy: Pastry Workshop


On March 8, renowned pastry chef and  professor Phil Hardy of Derby University visited the modern premises of American College for a pastry workshop for the students of the Culinary Arts course.

He first analyzed the prospects for a postgraduate degree in the United Kingdom. It is worth mentioning that AC programs of study are assessed so that AC students can continue their studies in any country they wish. Specifically, American Colelge collaborates with 54 leading universities around the world. At the same time, the American College is included in the Erasmus + program, so students can gain international experience in top EU universities.
The second part of the visit was a delicious pastry workshop where Phil Hardy taught the Art of profiterole. The Bachelor in Culinary Arts includes pastry and bakery sessions. Students there had the opportunity to ask question and taste the delicious final outcome. American College has introduced various modules with guest lecturers who generously offer their expertise. These workshops are offered free of charge to AC students and aim to prepare them for the job market.
