The Cyprus Ministry of Education and Culture registers in its records academic institutions offering higher education upon the fulfilment of a number of criteria. The academic institutions registered in the Ministry's records are inspected and examined by the Ministry's officials through regular visits to these institutions and examination of the institution's records, and are generally governed by the articles of the relevant law of the Republic of Cyprus.
