Bachelor of Arts IN TRAVEL and TOURISM MANAGEMENT
Students enrolled in this program earn a Bachelor of Arts in Travel
and Tourism Management. The program seeks to prepare students for
managerial positions in the Travel and Tourism industry.
Aims and Objectives
The aims and objectives of the program are:
1.
To provide students with the managerial skills and
competencies necessary to meet the needs of the ever demanding
Travel and Tourism industry.
2.
To develop students’ critical thinking and to refine their
analytical, problem-solving and decision making skills.
3.
To provide students with the skills needed to use a
computerized reservation system.
4.
To provide a broad understanding of the fundamental
principles of management related to the Travel and Tourism Industry.
5.
To provide a broad view of tourism and the opportunity to
explore issues and problems relevant to a wide range of situations
and aspects likely to be faced by managers in the Travel and Tourism
Industry.
6.
To provide students with the tools and management skills to
become leaders following the new trends in the Travel and Tourism
industry such as special interest tourism and electronic tourism.
7.
To provide students with the ability to conduct research and
produce a high quality research project: this includes the ability
to select, define and focus upon an issue at an appropriate level,
to analyze the issue, to develop recommendations and logical
conclusions, and acknowledge the limitations of a research work.
