EUROPASS DIPLOMA SUPPLEMENT

As from January 2007 the American College provides all its graduates with a Europass Diploma Supplement along with their qualification’s certificate and academic transcript.

The Europass Diploma Supplement is issued to graduates of higher education institutions along with their degree or diploma. The document has a standard layout thus ensuring that higher education qualifications are more easily understood, especially outside the country where they were awarded. The Europass Diploma Supplement was developed jointly with UNESCO and the Council of Europe.

The Europass Diploma Supplement is not:

• a substitute for the Americanos College original diploma or degree;

• an automatic system that guarantees recognition.

The Europass Diploma Supplement is divided into the following eight sections:

• Information identifying the holder of the qualification

• Information identifying the qualification

• Information on the level of the qualification

• Information on the content of the qualification and the results gained

• Information on the function of the qualification

• Additional information

• Certification of the Diploma Supplement

• Summary and description of the Cyprus Higher Education and Training System
